摘要: Cannabidiol (CBD) is a potential phytogenic feed additive derived from Cannabis sativa for poultry. However, current understanding of CBD’s effects on poultry, particularly geese, during farming remains limited. This study investigated the effects of CBD (0, 50, 100, 200 mg/kg diet) compared to a chlortetracycline group (CTC, 50 mg/kg) on Landes geese (360 birds, 56–day trial). The results demonstrated that CBD supplementation linearly reduced the feed conversion ratio (F/G) (p < 0.01), with the CBD200 group exhibiting a significantly lower F/G than the CTC and other groups (p < 0.05). CBD supplementation significantly increased breast muscle and lean meat percentage (p < 0.05), both of which were linearly correlated with CBD concentration (p < 0.01). Furthermore, CBD reduced breast muscle lightness (L*45 min) (p < 0.05), and decreased leg muscle yellowness (b*45 min) (p < 0.05) in the CBD200 group compared to CTC50. Concurrently, CBD linearly increased leg muscle pH value (pH45 min) (p < 0.01). Compared to the BD and CTC50 groups, the CBD200 group significantly increased serum total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) (p < 0.05), with T-AOC levels linearly correlated with CBD concentration (p < 0.01). CBD had no significant effects on serum physiological and biochemical indices, muscle fibre development, or intestinal mucosal morphology in Landes geese. In summary, these findings demonstrate that dietary CBD supplementation enhances production performance and meat quality in Landes geese, while also exhibiting potential to improve antioxidant capacity.
