摘要: The peach (Prunus persica (L.) Batsch) is a significant agricultural and economic crop worldwide. Nowadays, consumers increasingly prioritize superior quality and nutritional value in peaches. Forchlorfenuron (CPPU) and gibberellic acid (GA3) rank among the most extensively registered plant growth regulators (PGRs) in agricultural systems. However, the influence of these PGRs on peach remains unclear. In this work, the effects of PGRs (GA3 and CPPU) on peach fruits were systematically evaluated using an integrated physiological and metabolomic approach. GA3 treatment demonstrated the most pronounced effects on fruit development and quality, resulting in a 71.05 % increase in single fruit weight, a 26.28 % enhancement in vitamin C and a 16.33 % reduction in titratable acidity. The metabolic profile of peach fruits were significantly altered by PGRs, and KEGG functional enrichment analysis showed that differentially abundant metabolites were mainly enriched in lipid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, cofactors and vitamins metabolism, terpenoids and polyketides metabolism, amino acid metabolism, and biosynthesis of other secondary metabolites. Furthermore, PGRs residues in peach fruits comply with international food safety regulations. This study provides a scientific basis for improving fruit quality and expanding the applications of PGRs in peach cultivation.
